Integrated Pest Management

Also known as: IORIPM

Integrated pest management is a farming practice that combines agrotechnical, biological, mechanical, and chemical methods. Pesticides are used only when other methods do not provide sufficient effectiveness. The goal is to maintain healthy plants with the least possible impact on the environment. Currently, this is the primary approach in modern horticulture. In practice, this means regularly inspecting plants, correctly identifying the problem, starting with non-chemical methods, and using an approved product only when necessary and in accordance with the label.
