Chemical Protection

Chemical protection involves the use of plant protection products to control diseases, pests, or weeds. For tomatoes, only currently approved products may be used—those intended for the specific crop, pest, application site, and user category. Before treatment, check the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MRiRW) registry and the full label, which specifies, among other things, the dosage, number of treatments, conditions of use, preventive measures, pre-harvest interval, and required personal protective equipment. Chemical control is used only when non-chemical methods are insufficient, as improper application can harm people, plants, and the environment.
