Beautiful, high-yielding, and delicious—that’s what this variety is like. The fruits aren’t very large; they weigh no more than 150 grams. They are deep red, flattened, and have thin skin. The flavor is very balanced and aromatic. The plant is tall and requires staking. It ripens about 70 days after planting.
In German collections, this variety is also known as Ararat Geflammte. Seed Ambassadors noted receiving it from the German collector Gerhard Bohl and also described this material in their 2008 seed exchange catalog. It is an example of a variety disseminated thanks to collectors on both sides of the Atlantic.
