A beautiful tomato from the Indigo group, with plum-shaped fruit. Initially deep navy blue, the fruits develop irregular golden-red streaks as they ripen, while the dark coloring near the stem fades. Medium-height plants bear abundantly and can be trained to two stems. Very tasty.
The variety originates from J&L Gardens in New Mexico. It belongs to a group of tomatoes in which ripening brings about a colorful change even beneath the dark pigment: it’s worth waiting for the warm, reddish-gold tones of the fruit to develop.
