The Blue Fire tomato variety is an extremely impressive and unusual proposition for lovers of traditional tomatoes. Bred from Bill Minkey's collection, this variety is distinguished by the unique color of the fruit, which starts out green and then matures to intense blue and black-red tones, often covered with gold speckles. The darkest coloration appears in places where the fruit is most exposed to the sun.
The plant grows throughout the season, but at the end of the season does not exceed 120-140 cm, preferring spreading rather than upright growth. Blue Fire tomatoes are medium-sized, with a sweet, rich flavor and low acidity, making them ideal for eating raw, in salads and for preserves. The fruit of this variety is not only tasty, but also full of antioxidants such as anthocyanins, which give them a characteristic color and bring additional health benefits.
This variety ripens best in full sun, and the waiting time for the first harvest is about 75 days from planting
