Isis Candy is a cocktail tomato variety in shades of gold and red. The small fruits, about 1.5–2 cm in diameter, may have a delicate blush or more pronounced marbled streaks. Each one looks a little different, but they all share a sweet, fruity flavor that makes them hard to resist snacking on while harvesting.
The variety was bred by American collector Joe Bratka. Its name aptly captures the dessert-like nature of these small tomatoes, but their uses aren’t limited to snacks: they’re also great in salads, lunchboxes, and as garnishes for summer dishes.
The tall plants require support and can produce fruit over a long season. Regular harvesting allows you to enjoy the fruit at its peak ripeness. In a colorful bowl, try combining “Isis Candy” with the dark “Black Cherry” or the light “White Cherry”—the color differences encourage you to compare the flavors.
