Hungarian Wax is a prolific fruiting variety of semi-sharp peppers (1,500-5,000 scovilli), whose fruits are banana-shaped. The fruits reach about 18 cm in length. It enters fruiting quite early. Initially light yellow through orange to turn a beautiful red-cherry color at the mature stage. Edible at any stage. The older it gets the more pungent it becomes. Excellent for salads, on sandwiches, for frying and in marinades.
